I took this photo two years ago at a photographic shoot with models.
I thought a sepia look would go well. I hope you like it.

The PP makes it look old but the model makes it look modern - my brain is confused

The sepia works quite nicely but i am not convinced on the model - if he was wearing a old school shirt or singlet, or even just a dirty one I woul dbe more convinced..that one hes wearing is akin to ralph/polo in my books..

That said, its a great pose which works well and I reckon it could hold itself quite well irrespective of teh PP treatment.

Following on from Biggerry, I think it would work a lot better if he actually looked as if he had been working.

hmm, seeing the colour version makes me think more towards the playgirl style shot - I reckon this shot has quite some potential, a good looking bloke and a good pose - Its never gonna cut it as a real workman style shot so I reckon you go for that magazine style shot.

for kicks and giggles I had a little play with your image, let me know if you want it removed. The main thing I did was warm it up and apply some tonal contrast - thoughts?

I like the warmer axeman. Seems like a suggestive pose that I am not too comfortable with. Perhaps may suit a similarly inclined magazine...

Did you ask him to pose like this?

I quite like your version. Thanks for your input, biggerry. As far
as the model is concerned, I can tell you I was one of a bunch taking
shots and the poor kid was trying to follow the various directions
given by the photographers (most of them femails).

lol, a better question would be, what did you say to get him to pose like that
