No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Vivid Sydney 2010 Images#1 is nicely exposed. did you combine two here? Where is this vantage point?
Get rid of those squiggly lines on the bottom though. #2 is brilliant! Really would set you apart from the troops here. Perfect technique for zooming! Handheld? #4 is a pretty cool sculpture (I assume). Looks like a movie poster somewhat! Looks like it's floating in midair however with the bottom bit of lights etc... It is very interesting to see Vivid from other person's eyes without being there.
Re: Vivid Sydney 2010 ImagesPic number 4 is really appeals to me, their clever use of lights in the brolly and the fact that you can see enough of the face draws you in to the scene. These guys would be fun to shoot, well spotted and thanks for not letting in more light as it would detract from the image.

Re: Vivid Sydney 2010 Images
pano shot, two mages, good spot on the dodgy water taxi lights
different view for me, this was taken from the ground looking up at these two characters (live ones) loaded with fluoros!
ta, thats a really good point and somethign I should keep in mind, its ok to have parts of the image nice and dark to draw the eye to right spots, it also adds a bit of mystery here too.
gotta get 'em out quick or else the sit in a folder and get lost over time.
ta guys, go the brolly boys... gerry's photography journey
