I Was lucky enough to witness a pretty decent sunset recently. Managed to rush to Belmont just in time for the good light which lasted only for 5 minutes. This place is very peaceful during sunset and is highly recommended visit if you are in the area.

There was a wedding photographer doing a few shots but they left before the nice light!

For your C&C as usual.

Very purty and dramatic too. The use of very-wide focal length really adds a nice punch to the image.

The long exposure adds a bit of drama to the clouds. Well captured.

Love love love the venetian masks you have in your album, the colors and detail are amazing! I think.. professionally I'd also like to note myself as a "venetian mask product photographer" haha ultimate job!

Nice stuff Suren, it looks very representative of the scene but has some nice dynamic range, i do not have much to add than that. Maybe a pano style might have been an option? would definitely need extra shots since you would not want to lose any of that sky or foreground...

I can spot some lens spots on the filter there (i think), you were using a small aperture? I often get similiar spots but not 100% sure how to avoid other than using larger aperture...

Didn't think of that. There aren't many more foreground focal points in this scene but that may not matter for a pano as much. Hmm.. Next time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Those are rain drops. I hung around a little more despite the rain for this shot. They often say that the last shot is best. I think that was true in this case!

Perhaps! Maybe they moved to another location though. Yeah, I was just relaxing by the lake while they were working hard I guess.

I must be really slow...did I miss something in that picture?

Some nice colour in this image, ........ if you know how to use Photoshop you can straighten the verticals in this image....... a change of exposure and f stop would have improved the water movement. More detail in the wharf would also have helped. The sign "Public Access Jetty" and white small pole above distracts from the overall look.......

Are you suggesting more or less water movement? I was unable to get the shutter any lower without blowing the highlights in the -2EV image so had to make do. [My wideangle filterholder only holds one filter - in this case it could have been the ND8 or reverse ND grad - can't remember]

Agree that a little bit more detail on the jetty would be good. I will have another look at my brackets.

The white small pole is a compositional issue and I haven't yet found a balanced composition in this location which doesn't include it. As you know this location well, I will keep an eye out for your compositions.
