This is possibly the most scenic rocket launching facility in the world - was very fortunate to visit this site.

#1 has a great feel to it. At first glance it doesn't look very industrial. The roads seem impeccable which goes against a little village type of scene!

You seem to travel pretty heavy by looking at various focal lengths that you have employed. :wink:

Yes, took a few lenses..the 17-40 an 85 plus the 100-400, figured it was a once in a lifetime oppoertunity so the extra weight was going to be worth it. Just a pity I could not take the 400 2.8

You probably would needed to buy an extra ticket to take that.... OR maybe post your clothes ahead of time. :wink:

Surenji, the luggage was right on 23 kg and I had 10 kg of carry on as I took all the camera gear with me onto the plane.

Japan certainly is a wonderful place to photograph, as you have shown. Nice work.
