I had some of my gear in the office with me one day last weeks so I decided to to take another impromptu lunchtime shoot in the city of Sydney.

Went for a bit of a walk towards Cockle Bay/Darling Harbour for a quick lunch and grabbed a few shots along the way.

As always please tell me what you think, whats good and where I might improve...

I loved the colours and the way the reflected light was falling onto this old building in the city (near Town Hall):

Just at the entrance to Cockle Bay I saw these poles sticking up into the sky and had to frame this shot against the sparkling blue skies:

At the end of Cockle Bay wharf there was this interesting little jetty with nicely lined up poles and as luck would have it a seagull arrived on cue :) :

Finally on the way back to the office we have this shot of the clock tower on Sydney's Town Hall in the early afternoon sun:

I love the last one of the Town Hall, you have successfully avoided deep shadow that you almost always get on one side.

I really should get out at lunch with my camera as well.

Thanks - I was a bit surprised at that too - the hard 2PM sun was basically to the right but I'm guessing we got some reflected light from the building across the road to provide some fill.

and yes we should :)

#4 is a corker and your CPL is working wonders for you there. Nice capture!

I also liked to semi-muted tones in #1 and the perspective makes for an interesting image!
