Steps to Heaven...

Just before I joined the start of the Worldwide Photo Walk last weekend I took some shots with my Ultra Wide Angle lens at St Mary's Cathedral (something I had planned to do last time I was here - but it had started to rain back then).

The following is a HDR image taken at the main steps of St Mary's Cathedral and merged from three bracketed exposures at -2, 0 and +2EV.

I don't normally go for the surreal look (I tend to try an keep my HDR's more natural) but I punched the processing of this one and would be interested in what others think - too much, too little, ...

nice capture! :D What if you fishy-ed it a bit more than just ultrawide? I recently picked up an 8-16mm sigma for my canon as well, great lens, GREAT lens..

Have you considered B&W ? I'd love to play with this image wiht your permission...

Great Capture :D and.. i like the fact that the colors are off on the statues :D
