Tried my hand at capturing the cars at a local drag racing meet last weekend.
Trying to capture moving subjects is new to me and proved to be a challenge.

I quite like #1 as you have frozen the action quite well. Perhaps you can try to practice your panning at these events?

As for specific tips, I think the racing buffs in the forum can advise you further.
