Well, its a nice location and easy to get to, had a very plain sky and was hoping for that little bit of cloud, but it did not come.

There are plenty of compositions available here and you can probably make the most of this location not matter what the conditions are like.

Suggestions good bad or ugly more than welcome.

A view looking north along the cliffs towards coogee.

These are brilliant Gerry!

I think you are perfecting the combination of polariser and grad.

The colors are nice and warm and represent the sunrise that morning. Nice work in avoiding that ghastly empty sky we got given.

How did you avoid the darkening effect of the grad on the RHS cliff?

My fav would be #3 for it's composition. I think your position was much better to include the RHS cliff for added balance.

A great photographer once said, "you gotta work with what you are given"; You have illustrated this quite nicely!

Looking forward to the next excursion.

fooled ya, no CPL here, only used the ND8 and the lee filters.

thats where this location is quite good, there are plenty of other options if the sky turns oridinary - thats what I was trying to do when I disappeared up the northern end, with limited success.

always had it angled, you can see the cloud brightness change on the left side (or the cliff on the right side on the first), the cliff in final 3 is quite a light colour so a slight adjustment with a colour control point really makes teh cliff shine.
