Despite the overwhelming attendance there was enough space on this rock shelf for everyone to get some reasonable compos. [Provided that you were not in a daze from waking up so early]

We need to take a fishermans hat and a fishing rod next time. For what you ask?

For your C&C as usual.

No.... you need to organise some cloud and colour :)

Good work on these Suren

Bit partial to the B&W shot ...lots of interest to occupy the eye and something different from the usual rocks and water combo that we tend to post.
Shame that bloke with the shot pants walked into the frame and spoilt the shot. :)
Oh and you also missed a good breakfast

you talking about the seagull? :rotfl2:

I was being directed into the shot by that killer seagull..

Suren I looked at these on the phone and they looked very very tidy, on the big screen they are just as good, that first one is just premo, excellently executed, the composition is perfect with just the right amount of water, sun and leading line!

great series and you have done very well and a prime example of making the best of what was on offer.

I have to say, I am a bit fond of a spot of fishing...

Thanks Wendell, Ray and Gerry for your comments.

I am trying very hard to break that monotone. It's nice to add a few more elements to see where you can go. This was one of the few times that I have snapped a few shots in quick succession hoping to get the timing/composition right in one of them. The bloke/seagull combo is very difficult to direct....

Don't tell me you had the gear in the car....

Well maybe next week...or the next or the week after.....

biggerry wrote:Believe it or not I did have the rod and gear in the boot...

Well next time, I would be quite tempted to take the rod. If the sunrise is not good, we can catch some fish :chook:

It wasn't spectacular from a sunrise point of view. But there is something magical about the moment that "there is light".

Just digging through the pile, this photo I quite liked as well! Amazing how one small element can change the whole dynamic of an image.

it must that striking silhouette of a fine example of the male species :rotfl2:

I really like this one Suren and not just cause I am in it, you are right that little figure in the distance really adds to the overall scene, nice one! Also the lines of teh image (whilst not terribly strong) lead nicely to me as well

Ahem I think I might switch to sunsets until Oct 5th or so.... Sunrise is at 5:50 etc...a little too early and cramps my day when I have to snooze here and there.

To honor Ansel Adams quote of "making an image" blah blah, I reckon we could do with a little bit of sunrise 'design' so to speak... imagine strobist style shoots with the sun rising etc...
Now we need a maiden wearing flowing robes, a rustic fisherman and two people carrying a kayak..... etc etc...
