Crotch RocketsI've done a fair bit of light painting on cars now and i've been keen to try something different, but haven't had a subject until last weekend when the chance came up to do a couple of motorcycles while i was up in Brisbane.
Here's some of the results... As usual, C&C greatly appreciated.
Re: Crotch RocketsThese are great Adam... I quite like #2 then #1...
I haven't tried this technique, and must... It seems to produce great results. Cheers, John

Re: Crotch RocketsNice stuff Adam, there is no doubt you have the technique down pat! do you have any compositions showing a side on view of teh bike? or maybe a front 3/4 view? I liek teh detail views however i find myself looking for more at the end of this series!

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Crotch RocketsSure do...
The framing could've been better on that one.
Re: Crotch RocketsNice shots - just need to have a sound bite of the Duke on full throttle attached to the images.

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: Crotch RocketsNice work Adam. The shots of the gsxr seem to be a bit distorted which I imagine is from the shot focal length.
What was your technique in firing the flash. I have been asked to shoot a car and thught I might try some light painting. Craig

Re: Crotch Rockets
I'd say you're right. I use the Canon 10-22mm.
I've never tried it with a flash, but i've seen it done. I use a continuous light source. The flash shots i saw were just done my pressing the test fire button on the flash at various spots around the subject.
Re: Crotch RocketsDuke.......*drool*

Re: Crotch Rockets
Thanks Adam, I will have to give it a go with the bike and the car, and maybe the lawnmower. Craig
