I had a flying visit to Wagga Wagga last week to see my nephew march out as a private in the Australian Army. While there, I saw this platoon (my nephew isn't in the photograph) returning from field training, and they had to salute some brass as they marched past in double time. Click for larger image.

You shot them before they shot you. They do it tough at Kapooka and deserve congratulations for getting through. It's a bloody hard slog. Your nephew has done his family proud.

Matt is right (of course!). The eighty-day induction course is designed to sort the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. Now he is off to Singleton for specialist weapons training.

I reckon the rain and overcast day has worked in your favour, nice images with soft light

Beautiful light in the #1.. makes it very toned in a muted way. Suits the scene.

After being to that airport a fair few times, I still can't get over how small it is! The Wagga town is comparatively large.

Great images, and the family snaps are an important record that needs to be cherished and not undervalued.
