Coogee Beach - before sunriseI woke up at 4am just for this occasion: To take photos before and after sunrise at Coogee Beach. My buddy picked me up and arrived at Coogee around 5.30am today. It was refreshing to feel the sense of calm and quietness along the beach. Seagulls dotting the whole beach as they sleep.
Anyways, here are some photos I would like to share. Black Silk Cliff House Red and Blue Red Rockpool The Edge ------------------------------- I told my friend that i went to Coogee 5.30am in the morning just to take photos. They called me an idiot. It's something as an amateur photographer want to do, take photos before and after sunset at a beach.
It is a great feeling to be up at the crack of dawn and capture scenes that are impossible during the day. Red Rockpool and The Edge stand out as being very emotive photographs - the loneliness speaks volumes and your captures are very good. My only critique would be to clone out the ship in both pics to give an even more isolated look.

really like 'the edge'... great capture.

Nice shots mate, would you believe I live just around the corner and have my own very similar shots at around the same time.
Are you planning on printing and framing any? Its certainly one of the best times of the day there, especially with the D70 followed by a dip then coffee! I reckon the Cliff house shot was taken at 635 though Black silk is my favorite Keep up the good work Sean "The more I learn, the less I realise I know"

they are all great! i like black silk the best too... if i may critique a bit tho, the horizon seems a bit tilted to me, and i think if the fisherman was moved in a bit to put him in one of the Thirds intersections it might look a bit more balanced.... but still, as is, i love this image!
Well done Nexxus, all great shots.
Black Silk does it for me, if I had to pick a favvourite. Simon

Thanks everyone. I did have a coffee before the photoshoot. The only shop that was open that time was a Pie Shop. Ate a very nice Cheese bacon pie with cuppacino. Yum! One of the best pie ever. Hehe.
These are nice shots Nexxus,
I have swam in that rock pool many o times, It's nice to capture it around that time of day before the onslaught arrives. Mic.
I love the B&W pics. There's a lot of interest in them. THey are dark and moody. Very nicely captured.
Steve.
