This is a shot of my partner's rental/holiday house. The sun was at an approx 45 degree angle coming over my right shoulder and slightly diffused by light cloud at the time of exposure. The shot's details are :-
ISO 200 1/100th 18mm f/10 -0.3 EV Like yeaserday's shot this one has had no post shoot editing apart from a small boost in exposure in RAW(NEF) conversion. The image looks unreal to me, the same shot without CPL filter is the same wishy washy look. Does this look realistic to you?

This is an excellent exposure and needs just a touch or darkening to make it sing. If all of my exposures were similar then I'd be a happy chappy.

Matt K. I'm pleased you think this one is a good'un. I think my washed out worries might be a paranoid delusion on my part. Sometimes I just don't reconcile what I see versus what the camera records. perhaps it looks fine after all!!

I'll try the darkening advise and see what I get. I think I expect too much of my equipment. The more I look at this , the more I fail to see my fears expressed. Thanks for your valued comments.

Great pix ......but when all the work was done in the darkroom both colour and B&W the only thing I would do is darken the sky a little on the left and right corners to make the building stand out a bit more .......A very well exposed original
