Gluepot - humbling experience!Let me say this birding thing is very hard. Even though I was shooting at 800mm it was still not enough!
It is not true that Australia is about to get it first Saint - the birders already are! Any way a few from an excellent trip and thanks again to Avril and Kevin for organising it and to Deb, Fozzie, Grant and Lee for also attending - it was great Canon
Re: Gluepot - humbling experience! These are great captures. Love #3 and #1. Wonder whether you can crop the hell out of #2? It is such a great pose!
Re: Gluepot - humbling experience!Knowing how difficult this type of photography is......bloody beautiful work!

Re: Gluepot - humbling experience!Virgs,
Extremely well done, as I have nothing that comes anywhere close. I too now have total admiration for Bird Photogs, and is obvious why they use 600mm f/4 with 2x TC/Extenders and sometimes stacked tele-converters/extenders.
Re: Gluepot - humbling experience!Yes, next time might try the 1.4x with the 2x on the 400 to see what happens..
