Gluepot shots

Gluepot was worth the drive ! What a great day (Thanks Kevin & Avril for organising)
I now have a LOT more respect for 'bird in natural habitat' shots - they are really tiny, really fast, hard to spot and nearly always hidden in a bush - but I enjoyed the experience and looking forward to the next camping trip

Those shots look good Deb! I didn't manage to get any good bird shots with my inadequate 200mm but Grant and I took some shots of a couple of lizards on the way home and lots of hover flies on my roses!

Yes, a great day with excellent company. Thanks from me too, Kevin and Avril. Nice to meet you Deb.

I quite like the shots, but I find them a bit too small.

That first image is nice DebT - I had a look on ur smugmug site and it looks better there. Was it a crop? if not I reckon a slightly tighter crop to centralise the bird would make it a stronger image. I think you have done very well to capture this - it certainly is not as easy as it looks!

Yes Biggerey most certainly already cropped to less than 1/4 of frame size (and reduced to 6x4 for a quick print ) - not going to do anything else though it's already lost definition and had too much blur for me (I was using 300 with 1.4X on crop body and had to manual focus due to camera issue with autofocus - I was just glad I managed to get something in the frame that resembled the bird I was looking at )
