I found this Polar bear at the New York Central Park Zoo.. possibly the smallest zoo in the world!

I've done a small amount of PP, lightened the Polar Bear and darkened the background - any C&C appreciated
Cheers
Tom

And a slightly different version with the back darkened further..

Here's what the original image OOC looked like;

I liked the idea in the image immediately, but it felt a little flat, so I hope the first image does it justice.

cracking shot - simpilicity at its best. PP, from what I can determine, is perfect for teh shot!

The Polar Bear looks a little darker in the second shot to me. Not by much though.
The darker background works really well too.

Great shot!

Great image imo. I think the PP has really made it pop, although i'd love to see the original. I think the 1st is more of a standout to me, I like seeing a little bit of the background, i find the other too dark. But lovely shot.Well done!

absolutely captivating. what a stunner of a shot.

i dont like the much darker background cos it looks too processed. the background isnt distracting anyway and the shot is good enuf to stand on its own without needing additonal work.

I think the first one is the best of the two for it has
more colour and shades than the second one. The
composition is second to none and as others have
already mentioned its simplicity is very appealing.
In one word "Congratulations".

Hmm, I think when I've reloaded the images I've made a mistake on the top ones... just a hint of too much light in the middle of the back.. that's what i get for doing it on my laptop due to laziness!

Tom,

I too love the Polar Bear in shot 1. Nicely crafted shot. Surely you have some more from your time in USofA.

Stellar image.

Keep the background in #3 and just bump the contrast. I reckon the background adds rather than detracts.
