If you are ever in Thailand and are in the need for a slightly different style of resort - Indigo Pearl is your place, check these rooms out, the bathroom was the biggest I have ever seen...and the decor...man I am still having flashbacks....

Seriously though, its a pretty nice place, something different!

check them hands out...

fancy a midnight swim?

and as promised, this is Thailands best bar - 'Topview' (koh lanta) yep a very original name, but man, the company was great, the beer excellent and the view almost just too good to photograph!

These are brilliant HDRs if I ever saw any! [Almost as good as David Hill] Add a highly lit model or two in the front [At least 5 lights] and you will have a replica of his work!

I reckon the ethereal look suits this setting really well!

Dude, #1 is that whole room the bathroom?? What would you use that cushioned chair for?

The top view pano looks primo! How long did you stay here for?

If anything, it's so tempting to go to Thailand just for this place! Since they don't advertise the price, it may be tricky to afford it though. BTW: I would be tempted to clone those airconditioning vents out though.

I got two models...but one moves too fast and the other always tells me to stop using the camera and do somethign useful..... :rotfl2:

at the bar..about 6 hours then stumbled down the hill with 3 bags of washing half cut....now i think about it i reckon i did alright to line them shots up for that pano, i had a few beers by then. We stayed in that region (koh lanta) for 6 days)

Dude, #1 is that whole room the bathroom?? What would you use that cushioned chair for?

3/4 of the bathroom, i will post the image of the other end with the bath later! Regards the cushioned chair....hmm..i can think a few things..

BTW: I would be tempted to clone those airconditioning vents out though.

good point did not even notice them

Not at Indigo Pearl - some mates who stayed at the resort in koh lanta for the wedding had bungalows on a hill, each which had a very sizable infinity pool...

awesome, right time of year now I reckon, the water will have cleared up and that crystal clear blue water colour will make for premo images!

This is the bath, the other half of teh bathroom! not very baby friendly either that bath

coming from a woman, i think who ever hung those curtains up deserves a kick up the back side! why would you hang them so they drag on the ground especially next to a bath! :rotfl2:

Would be great to hear the HDR details of these shots - number of images, exposures and software used etc

lol, that is a very good point! I just cursed the silly height of the curtain rod and did not even think about the curtains!

3 shots bracketed -2.0-0-+2.0 and merged in Photomatix then into CNX2. Lens used was 11-16mm tokina.

If you need specific program settings and edits in Photmatix/CNX2 just ask, I am sure I can drag them out  I never have a set forumula for HDR's, just always play it by ear depending on teh lighting and composition.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to have a look and comment.
