I found myself working last week in Boulder, Colorado so on my day off I drove up to Rocky Mountain National Park. Awesome place, would have liked to stay longer.

Kevin, that first one is very nice. You could bump the contrast a touch though.

The colors are so foreign... Is that ice on that lake?

The first one is trully magnificent. Would expect to see something like this on a high quality ad material.

Thanks guys! #1 is my fave as well. I only had 1/2 a day, so I tried more to experience the place than do more serious photography. The colours are something that struck me about the place, everything is so vivid and different from here.

It is indeed ice on the water, I remember lying on it to get the angle. Later it was more like waist deep snow. Luckily I had gloves and a hat, although leaving them at the hotel on this day wasn't so clever.

Bear Lake was as far as the road was open. Here's where I learned that the hood on a Nikon 24-70 makes an awesome snow scoop.
