I'm sure many of you will know the historic Cardrona Hotel in New Zealand's Southern Alps. It was built in the 1860s gold rush days.

Mrs tff and I spent a pleasant couple of hours having lunch there (including their house lager), and I submit this image of it, processed through Siver Efex, for your consideration:

Classic image Trevor. You could almost back off the vignette but it's got a great timeless feel to it as it is.

Nice shot of a good pub in the middle of nowhere.

The front of the pub does not do justice to how good it looks out the back.

Classic composition Trevor.

I'd like to see either more contrast, or perhaps fade the darker shades right down to make it look olderer and morer faded.

Trevor the second re-incarnation is much better. [I didn't notice the contrast issue with the previous monitor!] In saying that, the old photo feel is more obvious with a washed out low contrasty photo.

There are many options for this pic.
Bit of dodging and burning (slightly exaggerated)
