Like Gary, I like the concept, but I feel it is let down by the lighting. The orange is brightly lit from the left with a fairly hard source. OTOH, the apple is much more softly lit and from the right. It bothers me.
Yes, I know there are more than one light for both photos, but it is the dominant fell that applies here.

Can I ask why you used f18 and 2.5 seconds?

I was working at the close focus point of the lens and wanted as much DOF as possible.

The lighting was fairly low, so I used the lcd screen on the shooting camera to get to the exposure I wanted.

The lcd of the subject camera was on, showing the photo of the orange taken earlier.

Tricky exposure because the camera and the background are really dark.
