Adavale

I took these shots a few months back whilst working a standby all day at a gymkhana at Adavale (I'm a Paramedic).. Adavale is approximately 900kms+ NW of Brisbane in the Queensland outback, a tiny locality of around 10 'houses', at least two of which are converted refridgerated shipping containers! Adavale has a permanent population of two most of the time, or around ten if nobody's away. Anyway I was sorting through old folders today of past camera uploads and thought I'd share some. :)

Nothing too spesh and the light was horrendously harsh, but I expect they're a little different at least from the things you folk usually see through your viewfinders. These would have been taken with my 18-200mm, the house one from a moving car (not me driving!).

I must've gotten bored when doing this one, but it had a funny feel around there, the look of it kind of suits how it felt there..

I love the red colour of the outback. The house (?) in the third picture is cute - might look good in B&W with some grain.

great compo on that second image, maybe go a touch tighter with a a crop? You have done well with teh conditions, maintained the sky detail etc and also got good detail on the subject.

Gotta love that house, no rust problems there! nice shot, especially given it was taken from a car.

The horse in the tennis court is cool, whilts there is not much to draw me in, the image still has interest purely on the 'wtf' factor of the horse standing at one end of the tennis court...I almost expect the next shot to shoe the other end with anothe rfarm yard animal with a racket :)
