Images from Panasonic FT2As I posted last week in a mini review, I purchased the Panasonic FT2 (TS2) earlier this month from Amazon and had it shipped over to Oz by a friend. The thing is a gem.
I have used it mainly with it's 10 fps mode (@ 3mp). The focus for such a small camera is nothing short of amazing, even in low light. The jpg's are a tad over processed / smoothed but hey, it captures what otherwise would be impossible images to get with a pocketable camera. The 3mp images are only good for web or 6"x4" prints (you may squeeze a 5x7 from them, I have only had 6x4s printed). Once the focus is achieved, the camera squeezes off frames like a mini-gattling gun. I am highly impressed and thoroughly recommend this gem for parents/grandparents etc wanting photos of their never-sit-still kids. Ozi. Re: Images from Panasonic FT2Nice images, Ozi. The Panasonic looks like a winner. They are doing great things with their compact cameras.
Are these photos straight out of the camera, or have you boosted saturation etc in PP ? BTW, love the last image (the wave). I could see that being released as a background on Windows 8 (sorry Mac users ) Dave Dave

Re: Images from Panasonic FT2They are certainly good photographs. I must admit that a good point and shoot
camera can be invaluable when you cannot have your SLR and related gear, which can be bulky, obtrusive and be the cause of a hernia or two.

Straight from the camera Dave. The FT2 only does jpg but imho that's fine for snaps. The Panasonic jpg processing maybe does overdo the skin smoothing thing but the 6x4 prints I picked up today are excellent. My 18 month grandson was running around with the camera last night. He dropped it but no problem, this thing seems tough. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

I am carrying 3 hernias atm. Now I know how I got them! 70-200 2.8 IS is the culprit. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
