Spent the day in Melbourne yesterday at the zoo, aquarium and wandering around the city at night.
12 hours of walking around really had my feet hurting, and I didn't get home until 2am.
I completely enjoyed myself though and the weather was great.

#2 and #3 great scene shots - I reckon these both provide very nice brackdrops for one of your car shots - obviously gettign teh car on teh bridge could be a issue but hey...

#3 I reckon you need to clone the light on the left to teh right hand side to balance it up

#4 how about a little crop off teh bottom just to bring it into a 3rds composition and remove the black bit off teh bottom? Other than that it looking good

I like them all, funny i was in melbourne the night before looking at all the spots you shot from wishing I had taken my gear with me......kudos, I really like #1, #3 and #4. Tell me did you really lug all your gear around and a tripod for 12 hours? and here I was worried about carrying it on a train from Glenroy to the city and around town......you've made me wanna head back down and do it now! Great work!!

Actually one last thing.....you didn't happen to take a photo in the train station of the sign down on the lower platforms "flinders street"? The lighting down there at night caught my attention, next time i'm definately gonna get a shot of it!

I've cropped the bottom off the last one.

Cloning the light out of third is outside my capabilities. I could probably pull it off if the light rays weren't there.

I used a monopod at the zoo with my 100-400mm and had my 10-22mm and 100mm macro in my bag. Tripod stayed in the car.
For the aquarium I left the monopod, tripod and 100-400mm in the car.
For the city walk I left the monopod and 100-400mm in the car.

Nah, we didn't venture into the station at all.

I really like #1 and I love the monochrome processing.

#3 is great too - but agree with Gerry that it probably would look better without the light.

cityscape looks better cropped imo

I tried that clone, but yeah its beyond my PS skills, i guess the hard bit is selecting the part to clone but also then the parts to blend and fade...

however! clone the bugger out, now thats easier! (PS. let me know if you want it removed)

I don't mind people editing my photos. It even says so in my sig.

Not to bad a job on the light. Looks a little odd though. There's still some of the rays of light visible. That was always going to be the hard part.
I was thinking maybe a flipped copy of the other side might be an option. Blending the clouds might make it difficult. I'll give it a try.

It's actually HDR. The settings are just one of the presets in CS5.

I managed to clone it out on this version...

These are all pretty cool to me! But #1 and #2 are the standouts...they simply have nice tones and details as well as being intriguing

thats nice Adam - surely you can sneak a motorbike up there for a little pose - that backdrop is perfect for a light painted red motorbike...

I probably could get a bike in there without too much trouble.

Oh what I'd give for a sturdy tripod! Nice shots and great colours.

#3 is absolutely primo but I like #4 even better.

#3 watch those highlights. Nice tones though. Are these HDR??

Of course! I wouldn't have thought to add the light to balance it. Nicely done!

The first 3 are HDR. I really like the realistic look that PS can give with only a couple of clicks.
