I'm finally starting to get on top of the 13,000 odd images from my recent trip to Argentina, Chile and Antarctica and have some more images to share. Below are a sampling from my SmugMug sets for Argentina and the Falkland Islands (or is that Islas Malvenas). This time there's even a penguin

Other posts with images from the trip:
Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina
Buenos Aires Pt 1
Buenos Aires Pt 2

Ushuaia is the Southernmost city in the world. Our Antarctic cruise left from here.

This is an old shipwreck in Port Stanley, capital of the Falklands

and an Imperial Cormorant also on Bleaker Island

Peter I simply love #1, the layers really draw you into the image, ending with the snow peaked mountains leads you back down through the image!! How high a vantage point did you have for this one?

The hulk of the wreck almost blends in, it makes me stop and think twice about it. Do you have something closer for this one? Loving the reflection and the bleakness

looks great

how much time did you get to shoot the penguins could you only do day trips or were you allowed to camp out
and how close were you allowed to get to them
were there rules about how you should approach them

Nice Peter, looks like your sales might kick off and recover some the trip cost

The first image I like, the only things I can see that may improve it are 1) crop the rocks out from teh foreground? I am in two minds about this but I do get drawn to them but at the same time like size and ratio of the image... 2) recover just a fraction more shadow and colour from the forest greens.

Just had a look through your gallery, great shots. The shots of the glaciers are fantastic, how did you nail such great exposures, did you use a grad nd for shots with the sky in or just bracket and blend?

Love the shot of the Old Ushuaia Gaol, you have pped from a dull drap shot to a detailed and dramatic shot in only 16 minutes. Did you use Photoshop or CNX2 and did you select your iso or have it on auto iso?
