a little 1950's feelThought I'd do a series of work harking back over a few decades but using subjects out and about today.
I've started with a 1950's space race theme... then we'll see where it might go from there. Anyway... here's a couple of initial captures to get the ball (and creative juices rolling). Photography is not a crime, but perhaps my abuse of artistic license is?
Re: a little 1950's feelahh.. the old olympic park, i have spent a few weekends using those artworks as footy goal posts!
these subjects make good abstracts i reckon - I would consider pushing them even further with maybe contrast to the point where its hard to distinguish what they are and how they meet the ground, maybe also some crazy cropping? gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: a little 1950's feelYep... and kinda where i was heading with the first... though the initial processing was trying to copy some of the 1950 american space race images that were around at that time... might have some further play with these and see what sort of abstract weirdness I can manage.

Re: a little 1950's feelLove the 2nd one. It certainly has a 50s feel to it especially towards the top of the sculpture.
The first one looks fairly stock standard in terms of a b&w conversion and doesn't communicate the theme as well. Look forward to the rest. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
