I took it with the camera (Olympus SP570UZ) zoom at its maximum
setting because the subject was very far away and hence the trade
off is harpness.

hmm interestign shot Zafra, does not ring my bell, however this could be the framing PP which could be turning me off.

I like the framing and treatment, but I would prefer to see the expression on the kid's face - the image would be more engaging then.

The kid was far away and I only wanted a candy picture.
