#3 - amazing - to die for - I'll just go cry myself to sleep now....

the only thing I could have wished for is that lone person (I assume it's a person) sitting on the rock at the left - if they were sitting another two metres forward.

This is a great set. I like darker images but the first three seem a tad dark even for me. That being said, wow talk about right place and time.
The last seems to be great in the top and bottom thirds but a bit washed out in the middle. What filters were you using for this?

No. 3 is fantastic. Perfect light, colours and amount of detail. Excellent composition too.

Thanks guys...appreciate your comments

It was a young lady doing yoga...and I'll have to give her a bit of a nudge in post :D

What filters were you using for this?

I was using a Lee 3 stop ND grad on 14-24. I agree the middle third could do with a bit more work.

wow talk about right place and time

Sunrises are really pot luck but this day helps you forget about all the boring colourless days that you tend to score most of the time.

top stuff ray, colours are looking very tidy there.

The first image niggles me abit because of the highlight protection on the sun - i notice this moreso now since I had a few shots where the highlights in the same region were blown, upon dialling back the highlights (even just 50%) you get that fugly grey colour.

The 3rd shot is the pick for me, the composition works well in the 6*4 format and complients the colours and reflections. If you plan to push that yoga girl, I would stick her right out on that rock near the sun doing some funky one legged balance pose :)

good spotting on the last image too, I did keep my eye open for the reverse angle shot but did not see that! I would just pop a u-point control on those dark bits where the grad has affected the headlands to even it up.
