Prague by night

It was below freezing last night when I went out, but it was well worth it! Decided to take the Nikon instead for this jaunt as I don't have a fast enough lens for the significant other.

Surprisingly, the Nikon started acting up in the cold conditions. When I was previewing images, the images on screen appeared corrupted. Fortunately I've experienced this before and the images were fine.

What's interesting to note is that laneways that appear romantic in the daytime, can just be downright creepy at night.

I love this next one. The couple went to have a look at the pretzels and the guy's expression is a classic (they walked away after this moment, empty handed).

There's a beautiful contrast in last image, between the guy on the left, who might (but probably is not) a busker or beggar, and everyone else walking past.

Your conversions on these images is great, and the first two are very nice images of what I'm led to believe is a beautiful city.

Thanks Gary. Appreciate the feedback.

Prague certainly is a beautiful city and incredibly small. You can move around quite easily either by foot or PT (which is far more trustworthy and efficient than anything back home).

I really like the first of these.

The brightness frames the door and then (as we are use to we read left to right) that leads me down the alley.

I find its the brightness that doesn't work as well in the second as i'm drawn straight to the building and miss the person on the street.

3rd and 4th are excellent
