Terezin, then and now

Just to provide some context, it was built as fortress in the late 18th century then turned into a political prison during WW 1 before the Gestapo converted it into a concentration camp during WW 2. It was on the brink of being turned into another death camp but fortunately the town was liberated just weeks before the gas chambers were fully operational.
Seeing the mothers with their prams, old gentlemen riding their bikes and youth loitering in the central square made me wonder and imagine if life was like that 60 to 70 years. The local citizens would have been carrying about their daily business before the war machine rolled into town and uprooted their lives. This is but one fragment of life in Terezin in this day and age.
