William Randolph Hearst was quite a man, a very selfish man IMHO, but the castle he built is astonishing, and well worth a visit if you're ever in California.

I would have liked to have swum in this pool but alas, it wasn't to be.

Wow, a very cool pool. We were on our way to visit Hearst Castle in January when I stopped to take a photo and dropped the rental car keys in a field full of flowers and snakes. It took us 3 hours to find it and it was too late to go. Bummer! :oops:

A really interesting shot. It looks more like a painting or drawing than a photo. Enlarged I would imagine this could become quite hypnotic.

I took this shot on the way to the castle, at Solvang. Image has had a little bit of HDR help, although it was only one exposure.

Great use of HDR especially in #1. Looks rather majestic.

maybe just back it off a bit (to avoid those pink noise bits) and I reckon it would be sweet.
