Meroo National ParkSunrise is made alot easier when you can stumble out of a tent at 6:20am and walk 2 minutes to the beach!
Meroo National park (3.5hrs south of sydney) is a lovely spot for those keen on camping, however I do recommend a car/4wd with some clearance since I suspect I left half my transmission on the track outta there This camp site is literally right next to teh beach, no facilities tho so you have to bring everything and take everything out, its also not signposted so GPS is esssential too sunset was nice too.. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Meroo National ParkGreen Stuff!!!
Seriously tho - I really like #3 - I wonder if you could have gotten down slightly lower and closer to that clear pool in front of you. D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Meroo National ParkGo green stuff!
#1 Really liking the tones in this one. I reckon the compo could be even better but I can see you have done what you can, with low tide etc. #2 Do you have any with longer shutter speeds? #3 Very nice tones indeed. Interesting textures as well. Is this with the polariser? It would be interesting with the tide coming in.... #4 Although the individual elements are very nice in this, I think the dark band of trees break this picture too much.
Re: Meroo National Park
Yeah - what were you thinking - you should have light painted the trees with your 1000000 lumen torch D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Meroo National Park
was pretty low at the time, camera awas only a foot or so off the rocks, I reckon any closer and lower would reduce the angle of view on the rock pool, I do have a few other compos of this pool, I may post one to show the difference.
yeah, its a pretty simple shot, but its hard to get without blowing out the highlights and maintaining teh colour of teh sunrise. the only reason I could do it was becausethere was a thin band of cloud (which you can see) diffusing teh sun making it bearable to look at.
did not even think of that! I used teh 105mm handheld for this one.
yep polariser and GND, the surf was pretty calm there and both time I was there it was low tide..
good point
was outta batteries, burnt them all up the night before chasing goannas and wallabies at night... gerry's photography journey

Re: Meroo National ParkThanks for your info on the filters etc. I need to have a look at your polariser when we next meet. I am not sure how much it would vignette if I used my small Cokin P filters on a 77mm polariser (Which is a anti-reflective look I really like).
From memory, your torch uses 8 batts at a time.... ?
Re: Meroo National Park
yeah, definitely remind me next time.
haha, sure does, man I was burning the fur off the local wildlife at 20ft with that torch gerry's photography journey

Re: Meroo National ParkI like all of them!
Re: Meroo National ParkI like #3 but I can see a nice vertical in there as well that could have given a better perspective on the pond. Nice work .
