I got up early this morning to capture the sunrise, unfortunately there wasn't much sun because of this huge storm out to sea..

I only took a few pics before the rain started and I bolted.

While the general public would probably look at that image and go "Huh?!" not so here! That's a very impressive 1st post and I look forward to seeing much more of your work.

Welcome aboard, Ozbenny! You're almost certain to enjoy it here and learn a lot from some great people whose aim is to improve our collective abilities and knowledge.

Thanks Ben.

With the 1/60 shutter speed I think you just retained enough detail in the waves while still getting the motion blur. Any slower and the increased blur may have become detrimental to the shot. Nice work.

ozbenny, welcome. Great shot, nicely PP'd. Well done.

Dee, I can see what you mean, manta is there in the clouds...

(Of course, I also saw the image of Jimi Hendrix in a chocolate ripple biscuit the other day, so I may not be the best judge. It was Jimi, though, really, musta been a message)

It's a great image showing something dark and foreboding. I can almost feel a chill run up my spine when i look closely at the image.

Well done on capturing the mood and feel of the occasion....
