The womans face directly below with the vibrant red hair is a little distracting for me - probably nothing you could have done however...

Maybe you have any other angles on him? [ The red head is distracting but then it's a candid]

I also always find redheads distracting =)
I do have some other shots of him but I love this shot because of the eye contact.
What do you guys think would i be able to desaturate the redhead?

I would defocus, rather than desaturate.
