I was amazed by the colours in this pic. The plant looks as if it is crying and there is even a little insect, if you can find it.

Sigma 105mm f/8 at 1/750th sec iso 200.

You may pull me apart but leave the plant alone 8)

Strelitzia named after Charlotte, Princess of Mecklenburg and queen of George III of Great Britain :D

It most probably isn't on topic, but with magnificent flora like these, together with Darb's photos from Gt Ocean Rd, how can there NOT be a Creator? There has to be an intelligent designer for this.

Wow, Chris. The first one is great for color, but this one is sublime. I really like the composition of this one. Nicely done. :D

Love both photos Chris... Your local florist must do well out of you

I think you've even got a little strand of spider web happening in the bottom right of the first photo...

Chris, beautiful work, I agree that the colours are magnificent, and you have captured them with great skill.

Quite easily Max, but we all need to believe whatever makes us comfortable.

Thanks all - John this flower is in my front garden and yes, there is a spider strand and if you look carefully at the end of the strand there is a body poking out from under the leaf :D

Are you sure it's a strezlekia(?) and not a TRIFFID????
It's amazing what we see in the garden.

Greg, Greg, Greg, believing in a Creator Designer actually makes me feel uncomfortable at times, but I believe in the need to follow logic eg utterly astounding complexity requires astounding creative genius, not luck or chance. I don't believe in chance but in purpose and reason.

(Again, off topic here but I think interesting anyway...Max)
