Sunset and Sunrise- Revisting Locations

Its not often I get to revisit locations to have anotehr crack at sunrise or sunset, I usually prefer to try and have a crack at a different location, keeps the interest up. However I did visit two locations, both which I have been to before, I doon't necessarily think I got better pictures this time round, but got teh different conditions which gave different opportunities and different effects - its almost like visiting a fresh location

Critique, good bad or fugly always welcome.

Is this that Bungan (SP?) place you were at once before? if so I think I preferred one of your shots from last time over these.

I like the second here except for that cloud on the left - normally I like cloud - but in this instance my first impression was that there was no separation on the left (leading to a kind of abnormal wave/water look on the left - kinda hard to explain sorry :)).

I almost reckon you could crop off the right inch or so of the last image (to get rid of the tree in silhouette) - just seems a little heavy on the right?

I love the flat water in #2, big ND action here?

I like the first the best although would prefer calmer seas to give the rocks greater prominence and scale. Obviously your divine powers were off that day?

The third would be improved without the objects in the water at the left although doubt you could do much with that.

#2 has very nice compo. The tones are not as strong as your previous ones. Do you have on with more prominent foreground with nice textured rock etc.

#3 is also nicely composed. The lighting is nicer here. The tones are good. What more can you ask for?

#2 and #3 the lighting is flat ; the gods were against you. You have done well with the bland skies you were given.

I like the first and then the last Gerry. The second is also great.
I have not managed anything like these so that may explain the limited critique.

I would certainly consider something like the first for a wall.

yeah this image needs some refining, I have reworked it. thoughts, better? I really liek this shot as a image but feel it is just not there yet.

I probably could have achieved that since there was good variation in the wave action, there were plenty of sets when the water in this little bay was nice and calm - I did go into this shot with the sole intention of promoting the rock in the foreground, however as you mentioned there is certainly room to improvve there!

nah, this was just polarizer and GND, however it was pre-dawn so it was pretty dark.

I still reckon it might look better with the left bit (inch) chopped off and only have the log coming out of the left of the frame? :)

I actually quite like that image on it's own

The images with the rock foreground aren't as strong as your first one.

How about B&W to accentuate the tones rather than the colors?
