Landscape Strobism

Just trying to cull some of my old pictures and came across this one. Here I was using a strobe triggered by poon-triggers to lightup that dome nicely....

Its a nice concept and nicely executed but lacking another element to complete the composition - maybe a person, dog, cat, monkey?

There is too much space on the top also, imo, if there was a burnign sky then keep the top but at the moment its just chewing up hardworking electrons that could be better off somewhere else :D

So, pano crop would see an improvement from my books and the inclusion of a subject in the lefthand side of teh image, including a person just in the pergola would not be enough. Maybe having the person walking towards the pergola?

Also, lighten up that beautiful green grass, an absolute crime to have this hidden in the shadows!

I'm up for having something smaller on the left to offset and balance the pergola but I'll have to disagree on the cropping of the top - I really like the way the trees and branches lean in and over the pergola, almost cradleing it. :)
