I was recently in the Entrance beach area and managed to snap a few shots on the go. Unfortunately the 'best' light had gone or was not available so had to make do with whatever was there.

C&C much appreciated.

Very nice. With the second, however, I think a lower viewpoint would have made the hut stand out more.

Two very nice images Suren. Great leading lines in the first, and great perspective/colour in the second. These photos bring back memories. I grew up at Budgewoi, on the Central Coast, and many a day we took a trip to Toukley, or even The Entrance. I haven't visited in about 25-30 years so I can't even remember what the place looks like!

Very nice Suren - I like the first - has a very calm feel. It looks a little heavy on the right though I'm not sure how you could change that (have the jetty point more towards the left? stand further to the left, I dunno ).

Did you use the ND for the second?

Suren, Great work on the second - crop from the top and bottom to go pano style I reckon it is a cracker with a good solid subject point

On the first, a crop off the top would also work too. I think it would also look good in b&w with the nice detail in the jetty.

There was an area cordoned off for regrowth so I didn't dare step in that area. From that area I think you can get that view you are suggesting.

I found this area reasonably nice although I was surprised to find apartments on the beachfront. I was expecting houses and was a little disappointed. There was also quite a reasonable Thai restaurant on the southern side of the beach. The northen side will require another trip I think!

Thanks I've had a go at these.

I have taken aboard your suggestions and here are the results.

With the first, I favour cropping the sky down about 50% more. The I prefer the colour version though it may also help if you subtley desaturate the wharf and near foliage to further emphasize the sky and horizon.

For me as well, a bit more off the top on the jetty photograph would be better imho, just below those top clouds. In terms of the b&w conversion, I'd go for a bit more contrast and lightly gritty look, if that makes sense.

The second one is greatly improved.

Not a fan of the BW, however thats just me prolly. The reworked crop of the second is pretty spot on in my books.
