What's going on in the others? Is that a scarecrow that has been hung??

Yeah, I agree with Suren on the flare. I missed it first time round. I would also consider cropping a little of that negative space at the bottom so that the slope of the sand meets in the bottom left hand corner of frame. Would probably enhance it as a leading line to the subjects.....if that makes sense?
