On vacation...

Greetings all in DSLRusers land:

Well, after 7 years of no vacations, I have decided to take a 10 day escape, to the Gold Coast. Being perched 20 stories up has its advantages. What do you photograph up here? As anyone who has travelled to Tokyo will tell you, the Japanese are obsessed with photographing buildings. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with them, but colourful high risers do make for interesting subjects. Here's a few attempts:

I like the first - very nice use of colours and repeating shapes.

I don't mind where you were going with the last either but it's just missing something (I don't know what sorry :().

I like #1 also.

There's repetition, but also subtle differences, and the reflection of the sun adds an extra point of interest.

Noice. :D

Don't be sorry here, on second thoughts it most probably is pretty ordinary. The striking yellow building just didn't come up as yellow as it seemed in real life.

Also, the photos rendered from my Flickr ac are so much softer here than in reality. The web compression etc must be pretty severe.

Ozi.

These are interesting photos ozimax. # 1 pops out the most but I like #4 too because of the different shapes and curves.
