Just a lucky snapI don't think Greg saw this one while we were at Ahu Huri a Urenga. The moai actually has four hands because it was recarved. One of the extra pair of hands is just visible on the lower right of the body. Getting this required a lot of care. That moai is 3.3 metres high so you can imagine how large the cat must be.

Re: Just a lucky snapMurray,
Nice photoshop job. We know that the sky wasn't anything like that in the original version; well done. g.

Re: Just a lucky snapThanks Gary.
It's amazing how easy it is to drop in a new sky. A bright blood-red sky with two moons would have been just too distracting.

Yes, but we just had that a month or so ago. Mind you ... g.

Re: Just a lucky snapMind you...
I have distinct recollections of being under the weather one day on EI. Murray went out on his own & returned some hours later badly scratched on his back. He said something about a new girl friend. I think I know the truth now. Greg

Re: Just a lucky snapNice one Murray. Very neat masking on the sky and nice choice to go with the hard shadows of midday. I think you can improve on the realism by increasing the contrast of the cat etc and making the shadows go deep black like the main statue. The angle of the shadow is slightly harder to fix though but will only be visible to the most inquiring eye.
