This is a detail of the Assumption Gate. One of the eight gates
of Seville's Cathedral. It is a colour photograph. I hope you like it.

Wow, these are a great set of sculptures. Any reference to the size of these things?

I think the image has suffered from forum resize - it looks a little soft on the forums to me - I notice it's 800 pixels wide - try resizing to 775 instead?

It's an interesting image - I'm wondering whether I like it taken from below as it has been or would I prefer to be from more direct one without the perspective skew. In some ways I kinda like the statues looking down on me... How about a square crop of just the left statues (four wide)?

Remorhaz, thanks for the hint. I couln't figure
out why the same imge would loose so much
resolution.

I though of the square crop and the distortion
caused by the perspective, but I decided that
as it is and without too much manipulation is
very close to what you would see if you were
there. There are hundreds of images on both
sides of the gate culminating in the next
picture...
