I started an organic vegie garden early this year and have been havesting an abundance of produce. I am using the square foot gardening technique and can attest to the fact that it is very successful and not a great deal of work. Today it was carrots and peas to go with the steak.

Looking at the age rings on the carrots I would assume that they were planted in 1963

Those carrots look great.....I'll bet it all tasted really good as well

Typical of your unique style Matt, but I think a fraction wider on both to encompass all of the vegetables and the curve of the bowl could well have made for a stronger image (s). Also aligning the chopping board lines diagonally may have also added another dimension.

That said, they are good looking carrots and peas...

Now I'm hungry!

Wonderful tones. What I love the most is the lighting, so simple yet so effective.

Very nice light especially on the peas which accentuate the 3D effect as well as freshness.

Readup a little on squaremetre gardens and it sounds interesting.

Nice to see the lovely organic produce from a backyard Matt.

I really like how the pattern of the chopping board sort of frames the carrots (especially the line down the right hand side).
