EmotionsThe Namoi region soccer league (far north west nsw) preliminary finals, Reserve and 1st grade, were held yesterday in hot conditions. The winners earned a spot in next weeks Grand Finals and the loser becomes a spectator. As expected, both matches were quite intense.
In the reserve grade PF, the red team are leading 2-1 and with 5 mins. remaining in the match they score another goal to make it 3-1, shutting the door on the opposition hopes. As the saying goes, 'winners are grinners and the rest can please themselves.'
Re: EmotionsA good capture of the emotions that can be involved in sports. I think the contrast of winners and the loser really makes it. While I was waiting for it to load on my slow intenet, I could only see the winners and it wasn't anywhere near as effective.

Re: EmotionsAgree with Lee on this, this shot works because of number 14 being in the shot - GOLD for you!

Re: EmotionsYep, it's nothing shot without the opposite emotions to tell the story.
This was two weeks prior in the minor semi after the red/white/blue team had just taken a two goal lead to knock out the opposition. By chance, the team knocked out were the 1st. grade team from the same club as the other shot. It's a heavy crop to rid background clutter, and ideally not enough of the celebrating faces but made the back page ahead of much technically better action shots. Pays to stay alert when a goal's scored or miss the best candids.
