British Parliament

What I like of this photograph is the perspective from the
Wheel of London of this iconic and famous building. Somehow
all the wheeling and dealings and petty hypocrisies seem
diminished as child's play. I found it difficult to take because
of the reflections and the glass of the cabin and before long
I found myself considering which would be the best time of
the day and the position of the sun for at 40+ pounds a turn
you want to be sure you can take some half decent pictures.

I like the perspective too. It looks like a miniature. I would like to see it with a tad more sky.

It is a great capture...and I am sure I would make the most of a trip on that Ferris wheel as well with a single ride being so pricey.

:agree: about more sky, so long as there is detail

It is a nice angle. It's a shame about the harsh light. You did a good job in the conditions. A bit of highlight recovery might help a bit.

I went up around dusk and that light wasn't bad. I had the problem of scaffolding around the parliament and too many people in the pod. :(

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately the sky was
not interesting at all. I mean there was no clouds or
even a nice blue sky and it was too bright so I took the
picture the best I could to avoid the glass' reflections.
I got another picture with more sky, but has more
reflections and as I bring the little details there are in
the sky the ugly reflections become even more prominent.
The camera I took with me can only take Jpgs.
I guess I can only put another sky, but that would be
cheating.

With a fake sky...

Reminds me of my first trip to London where I took a near identical shot.
The second shot with the fake sky looks more balanced but does not improve the shot that much in my opinion. I think either version is fine depending on your preference.

Nice pickture indeed. 40 quid? I agree, you would want to get your money's worth. How long can you spend in the thing? Is it just one revolution?

I think the French revolution was a little longer. :biglaugh:
