crazy location, so much potential in so many ways, every man and his photographic dog has reamed this place and i think half of them there at this time!

very large site with plenty of space and diverse lighting, a real HDR dream in a lot of ways, but you could process images from this place in a pelthora of ways to suit you needs and creative outlet.

Gerry,

Some amazing shots there - very creative.

I am fairly new to photoshop and PP my skills are some curves and automated pano stitchting and thats it!

What PP work did you do to create these effects?

you're right every man and his dog has been there and most images from there are a it ho-hum nowadays cos i have seen so many. 3 of the shots are excellent in their own right but to me have that "ho hum, seen it before factor."

one of them is bloody awesome and thats #2. i love it. original, authentic, gritty, grungy and great PP.

Never seen this factory before, but looks like it has great potential for all types of photoshoots - pirates, ninjas, ballet, zombies, skateboarding...now there's an idea, combine all of them :)

hey striking, these are pretty straight forward. They are manually bracketed images to gain the appropriate level of dynamic range then processed in nikon CNX2. There are plenty of HDR programs out there, i use photomatix and go for the typically default output then push it to cnx2 to look at things like the midtone contrast which gives that gritty feel, another technique is the use of diffusion to accentuate the highlights as seen in the images with the holes in the roof. I can't really give specific instructions for PS since I rarely use PS, however I am happy to try and help where i can.

lol, i like the idea of zombies, anyone got a good MUA? i reckon you could create some stunning stuff here with a single light source and a crazied zombie model. anyone in?

Chris, you have nailed it on the head, it is very hard to get something different nowadays, I do try and not look at images of locations to try and preserve my own original take on a location, but have feel short in this case. I also like #2, although i got very sore knees bending and twisting to get that composition...the pain of photogaphy ;)

How about a pirate being chased by a zombie who loves to watch Ballerinas on a old television set which is working without power? The Zombie is sitting on a chair with three legs.

#s is a very nice perspective. Kudos for keeping on soldiering on when I was way over it. Texturally, it might be nice to remove that condom like structure (left lower) to allow this picture to transmorgrify into a resonance of detail and motif. The word dunlop is a nice touch.

The zombie dragged that chair to it's final resting place when you were not watching.

I've not seen this place before so it's all new to me :)

I do like the reflections and composition in #2 but #3 is my personal favourite - very nice work...

Just back from Cairns with lots of images to process - I'm sure you'll all be bombarded soon enough :)
