A few from yesterday's cricket from around the region.

Out

Well, it is bush cricket or as we prefer to call it, cricket with character.

A little more serious, a little less character.

Have a rest

Love the first image, so many great captions one could put against this shot.

I also love the umpy in the second image, now this is cricket as I remember it!

They are all quite good technically too, good focus/sharpness and compos, BG's a bit distracting, but you have to work with whats there.

One of the teams in the same comp as the first two shots, last week had a big king brown sneak in among the batsmen and scorers ect. in the shelter (out near Pilliga) before being seen. They were saying one of the blokes broke a cricket bat on it giving it a smack, but in saying it had no effect on the snake, they were telling me, " I've never seen a ********* snake get so ********* cranky so ******** fast before in my ****** life."

All in plain speak English, of course and never a dull moment

lol, brown snake 1...cricketers 0, well for awhile anyway! reminds me of some clowns who thought it would be great to belt a croc on the head with a helicopter skid...

They eventually chased it into scrub and only smacked with the cricket bat after being startled by it under their chairs. Now that would have made for some good candid shots of facial expressions. From well back, of course.

Shane Watson take note - at least this guy played a shot☺
Nice work and great memories of hard wicket bush cricket.

This last instalment although it is very good,
I believe it lacks the dynamism of the first
for it comes across as static - at first.
