Got the D300 back from the doctors yesterday so took a few photos of the pups.
Group shot taken last week with the D70s and 105VR micro.

Taken with the D300 and 24-70 2.8.

Here's a discussion point....The photographs are cute but....does the strong green/yellow of the grass compliment the subjects or would they have looked better with a lower POV so that the background would be the blue sky?
Comments.... anyone? :?: :?: :?:

Matt, I think what you're asking would be almost impossible with the lenses used. Maybe with a very wide angle or fisheye you may be able to hold the camera just above the grass looking up but that would change the the whole photo.

I'd keep them all. Digital storage is so cheap these days there doesn't seem any point to delete many images.

Yes the grass hit me in the face & it took a while to notice the puppies.
Maybe desaturate the green/yellow channel or mask and desat.

Rel do you mean the puppies or the photos?

#2 is the best for me.
I agree that getting a bit lower would've helped, but I don't know if that would be all that possible given the size of the subject.

Easy - throw the subject up in the air and then take the shot - easy clean background... Oh no now he's done it :)

Your just jealous of my lovely green grass. A quick mask and desat on this one, any better?

All the shots were taken with the camera on the ground. This one was taken with the Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm from a different spot on the yard with more of a slope. I might get a better portion of sky if I get the 105 or the 70-300 out and move further down the hill.

This is mum resting in the doorway to my office. I think she is already wishing her kids were all grown up and left home.

Hi Rel Long time no see, hope you are well. We will not be keeping any of the pups as our yard is not fenced. The mother is only here on a temporary visitors visa until my daughter Jennifer finds herself a new place to live. She is between houses so currently back at home.
