Back to the important things after the floods, like cricket.

As action shots these all excel in your finger action. The first shot is amazing as it looks as if the bowler is going to karate kick the ref

The last image is the one that stands out from the rest in my opinion.

It just smells of country cricket, not pretentious, just a good game of cricket on a saturday, reminds me of days when I played cricket in teh country as a kid.

I love the fact that the dude is wearing footy shorts, skate shoes, anklet socks and what looks like a local pub promo shirt, this coupled with the BG that appears to be a country railway or road really sets the shot up for a winner.

From a technical stand point this image is also the best, the DOF and subject isolation works marvellously.

Top stuff.

Agree and it's also my pick out of all the shots on the day. It's at a place called Merah North, not far from Burren Junction and in the midst of farmland, bush and a single cotton gin, where you watch where you walk in case of Joe Blakes. The team in pink is Cuttabri and mainly Indigenous mates. The background does included a rail track, by the way.

Being out on the field with them makes me want to put the camera away and join in.
