More from our visit to Cockatoo Island.

I packed lots of Camera gear and took some portraits of the kids whilst there...

Comments and feedback always welcomed...

A self portrait with the UWA on a tripod in a room full of graffiti art with some added processing in Lightroom

Image

My girls inside one of the art installations - it was very dark inside except for the pool of light lighting my girls in the doorway so I shot this as an HDR and blended my girls back in from the correctly exposed image

Image

An industrial portraits in the light of the setting sun

Image

My eldest has been slowly perfecting hand stands and it was ideal for a sunset silhouette

I am not a fan of either of the first two images.....the HDR in #2 doesnt do it for me, and neither does the cross-processed look in #1.

You have captured great expressions in the #2 and #3, and the warmth of hte light in #3 and #4 really appeal to me

I love the fantasy look of the second image. A great kids portrait.

Well I knew it wouldn't be for everyone (and wait till you see today's HDR :) - but hopefully the subject more suits the technique)

They called the effect "Lomo" I think...

Thanks - that was the aim but wasn't sure it was going to work out that way with all the super bright graffiti competing for view

#1 - Interesting - I can't make up my mind whether person is clashing/complementing with graffiti or otherway around.
#2 - Really cool concept I reckon! I would like to see some more edits to blend them in a little bit more. They look like they have been pasted on.
