I've taken the jump to medium format and back to film (so not sure what direction I've jumped). Here are a couple of street photography attempts, mind you this was difficult as the camera was mounted on a tripod. It was already dark in the evening.

The film used was a roll of Ilford XP2 Super 400, with the aperture either at f2.8 or f4 respectively.

I'm in the same boat as you however still shooting 35mm film (both colour and b/w). The b/w images in regards to tone are just beautiful. The only thing that bothers me is that they are OOF. Granted you shooting at low shutter speed and the subject moved or did you scan the prints?

So what MF camera are you shooting with and are you developing the film yourself or just taking it into a lab for development?

I do like that first image, however irrespective of what it was captured on the composition, person and BW makes this sublime.

I love the first however, feel her face is a touch bright. But not enough to weaken the image.

Well I'll be different. Of these I prefer the second for it's wonderful soft tonality. I find that bright logo above the lady's head in the first very distracting

Not sure which part is OOF as it was pretty sharp in the neg and in the scans. Either way, I sent it to the lab for it to be processed and scanned, though I would like to purchase a scanner to do that myself. The scans came back with dust particles and I had to clone them out.

I'm using a Hasselblad 503CW with a CB 80mm 2.8 lens.

Yup agreed - was in a rush for the last shot and didn't compose that part of it very well. I may just have to make that sign disappear

#1 is superb tones, noise in addition to compo etc.

This is film mate. It's called grain.

And grain is not the same as noise

Sorry finally had a chance to look at the images at home on my working screen. Yes images are sharp. Its the old eyes and the infrerior imac screen I'm using at my other work that made it look soft
